The pioneering merengue group Zone D’Tambora (ZDT) — founded by global tropical music icon Elvis Crespo and NuLife Entertainment — officially enters a new musical era, reigniting the high-energy sound and stage presence that first captured industry attention.
ZDT became known for their percussion-driven vocals, dynamic choreography, and electrifying performances. They first generated buzz with their appearance on “15 Inviernos” alongside Elvis Crespo, and later achieved major recognition through their collaboration on Crespo’s Billboard No. 1 Tropical Airplay hit “La Foto Se Me Borró.” Their rising momentum led them to tour with tropical heavyweights including Víctor Manuelle and Los Hermanos Rosario, performing across the U.S., Central America, and South America while connecting with a new generation of fans. Their debut album Boom Boom reached No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Tropical Albums chart.
Marking this new chapter, ZDT made a surprise appearance on January 3 during Elvis Crespo’s sold-out “El Colmadito Choli Edition” at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, delivering a powerful medley of merengue classics that reminded audiences of their undeniable impact.
